Planning Commission

The Planning Commission holds regular meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The meetings are held at the Community Center unless otherwise indicated on the Agenda. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public and those interested are encouraged to attend.

Duties

The State Planning Law allows the City to establish a Planning Commission to hear appeals of land use matters and to recommend changes in the General Plan to the City Council.

Membership

The Commission consist of five (5) members who are residents of the City.  The members are appointed by the City Council for a term of four (4) years, terms stagger so no more than two (2) terms expire in any given year. Vacancies that occur other than by expiration of the term shall be filled by appointment by Council. 

Meeting date, time and place

Regular meetings are held on the 4^th Monday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Lemon Grove Community Center, located at 3146 School Lane, Lemon Grove, CA (unless otherwise noted on the published meeting agenda). Special Meetings may be called when deemed necessary and will be noticed pursuant to the Ralph M. Brown Act Open Meeting Law.

The Planning Commission Agendas are posted at least 72 hours prior to the meeting and can be viewed on https://events.lemongrove.ca.gov/council. The agenda is also posted on bulletin board outside near the front entrance of City Hall.
