SDG&E GAS LINE REPAIR ALONG CONNECT MAIN STREET
Lemon Grove, CA — During a routine inspection of natural gas delivery pipelines, San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) detected a safety measure requiring immediate repair along Main Street (between Davidson Ave. and Buena Vista St.). Repairs to the affected area will begin January 14, 2026, and are expected to continue through March 14, 2026.
Construction is scheduled to occur on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with night or weekend work only if necessary. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place. Bike paths along Main Street are expected to remain partially open as the project moves forward.
SDG&E expects service to continue without interruption during construction. If service impacts become necessary, affected customers will be notified in advance.
The construction will temporarily affect Phase 3 of the Connect Main Street project. The City has been informed by SDG&E that once all safety work is complete, Phase 3 improvements will be fully restored.
