The Governor released a new One-Stop Website for COVID-19 resources.  This is a substantial source of information including unemployment and paid sick leave, along with small business assistance.

AARP - The Governor’s Office, the California Department of Aging, and AARP CA partnered to launch the California For All  resource card, a FREE, one-stop information guide. The resource card includes information on how to get care giving support, how to stay safe at home, and how to find important resources through the California Aging and Adults Information line. There are also contacts to report fraud, abuse, or neglect and more. Stay Home. Save Lives. Check in.

Facilitating Access to Coordinated Transportation - In order to assist with the COVID-19 crisis, FACT is offering free transportation for San Diego residents for any essential needs. Seniors, persons with disabilities, students, veterans and other residents who need assistance, may call FACT at 888-924-3228 between 8am and 3pm, Monday through Friday, to request free transportation anywhere in San Diego County. Please have the names of rider(s), the pick-up address, and the pick-up time available when you call, and specify if you use a mobility device, including wheelchair or scooter. It is suggested to call us one day ahead of the ride when possible. FACT has limited daily capacity – the free rides are offered on a first come basis subject to availability. 

EDCO - At this time EDCO will continue scheduled regular trash/recycling collection operations.

Chula Vista Animal Care Facility -  Effective March 20th, CVACF will resume normal business hours for appointments only on limited services. Please visit their website  for detail. UNITED4FUR is brought to you by CVACF. This is a pick-up/delivery service of pet food and litter for your furry friends. Should you have unopened canned/bagged pet supplies please called the number on the flyer and they will schedule a pick-up time.  They will be delivering to pets in need in Chula Vista, National City and Lemon Grove.

California Department of Public Health - COVID-19 Industry Guidance: Dine-In Restaurants 5-13-2020

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to California small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of COVID-19. Recent legislation has been passed, allocating additional funds for the SBA loan program. Lemon Grove City Updates  

DRIVE -THRU FOOD DISTRIBUTION - ATTENTION Lemon Grove Residents! Every Saturday, from 9AM - While Supplies last we will be handing out food at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center. Click here for requirements and detail. 


Per Governor Newsom's orders for the County of San Diego everyone is required to wear a face covering when in public. This order can be enforced by local law enforcement. 

Bars, Breweries and Wineries CLOSED -  Effective July 1, 2020 per San Diego County Health Order all bars, breweries and wineries shall close.  Alcoholic drinks can only be served in accompany to a meal and not independently sold. 

Concerts in the Park  - June and July concerts have been cancelled due to the restrictions of the size of gatherings and maintaining social distancing.   

Lemon Grove Park, Berry Park & Civic Center Park -  Gentle reminder to all park visitors to please follow the 6' distancing regulation. In an effort to protect the health and safety of the community playground equipment will remain closed and bathroom facilities will be disinfected twice a day.  


The City is working to provide essential services to our residents while practicing social distancing. Taking the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19 the following facilities and events have been suspended until further notice. 

Passport Acceptance Facility - Closed until further notice, appointments will not be accepted. 

Lemon Grove's Facility Rentals - Suspended

Lemon Grove Library - Limited Access  Effective June 16th Door- Side service will resume. You will be able to request library materials online, library staff will contact the customer to confirm the material is available for pick-up. 

Returns of  borrowed material will not be accepted at this time. All late fees will be waived.

Summer Learning at your Library! Summer learning starts June 22 and ends August 31st. Click here after June 22nd to register. 

During this closure the following services will remain available to the public: 

  • Uninterrupted access to the library’s WiFi on the grounds (and parking lot) surrounding the library building.
  • Access to information and references services via email and phone.
  • E-resources are still available 24/7 on the Library's website
  • E-library is available, you can apply for an eLibrary card at to access ebooks, emagazines, and more.

Lemon Grove's Serving Seniors - Closed All Senior activities and exercise classes are cancelled until further notice due to the growing concern surrounding COVID-19. Home delivered meals are available to all seniors age 60 and above. To sign up or get more information click here.
